November Water Utility Billing Clarification

The Lantana Water District Utility Billing Department has discovered payments received on November 29th only, were not credited to the accounts prior to the December bill being sent. This affected 246 accounts. All accounts have now been credited for those payments received on the 29th and any late fees have been removed from the accounts. Staff is diligently attempting to contact all 246 customers by the end of the day. This was not a glitch in the computer system, it was simply an oversight in generation of the new billings prior to importing the payments received on the 29th as a result of banking institutions being closed for the Thanksgiving holiday. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused. For any customers who paid the additional charges we can issue a refund or credit the account, at the customer’s choice.
